Structured data, explained honestly

Vacation Rental Schema

Every Stay The Villages listing is formatted so search engines can understand the property's real details. That improves data quality; it does not make a listing “Google verified” or guarantee a special result.

What the markup does

Turns listing details into consistent, machine-readable data

A normal page is written for people. Schema adds a structured version for search engines, using fields such as accommodation type, occupancy, amenities, images, pricing, and reviews. The structured version must match what renters can see on the page.

We generate that markup from the same listing record used by the public page. Missing or private fields stay missing or private instead of being filled with assumptions.

Our data contract

Accurate, current, and privacy-aware

Property details

Bedrooms, bathrooms, occupancy, home type, and other details are emitted only when the owner has supplied them.

Verified amenities

Pool, golf cart, pet policy, Wi-Fi, kitchen, and other amenities are included only when the listing record marks them as available.

Privacy-aware location

Exact address and coordinates stay out of structured data unless the owner has explicitly chosen exact map visibility.

Current public information

Photos, pricing windows, and reviews mirror the public listing. Expired rates are not presented as current availability.

Ownership verification is separate from Google

When Stay The Villages marks an owner or property as verified, that refers to our own platform review process. It is not an endorsement, certification, or verification performed by Google.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is VacationRental structured data?

It is machine-readable schema that describes a rental listing's real attributes, such as occupancy, rooms, amenities, images, pricing, and location. It helps search engines understand the page; it is not a Google verification badge.

Does structured data guarantee a rich result in Google?

No. Valid markup never guarantees a special search display, ranking, traffic, or inclusion in Google's vacation-rental experience. Google decides when and how eligible information appears.

Is markup alone enough for Google's vacation-rental search experience?

No. Google's current documentation says its VacationRental instructions are intended for sites already connected with a Google Technical Account Manager and Hotel Center. Additional eligibility and integration steps apply.

Will a hidden listing address appear in the schema?

No. Stay The Villages emits exact street address and coordinates only when the owner selects exact map visibility. General or hidden locations do not publish exact coordinates in structured data.

What does an owner need to do?

Complete the listing accurately and keep amenities, photos, pricing, pet rules, and availability current. Stay The Villages formats the supplied information into consistent public pages and structured data.
